A Refelection

I came over with plans to change the present,
I just couldn’t take being friends

This situation’s left me hanging by a thread.

Trying to change the facts (?) that pass us by
Now occasionally to ask the reasons why.

I know things could have been a little bit easier,

I guess I have to take each day for what it brings (?) us,

I try to fake a smile today just to please them.

And yet I can’t leave it alone.
This reflection has been burned into my heart; I look back and say-
